The tour starts with a view of Fontana della Sirena, a work of
Pasquale Buccino, placed in Piazza Mergellina. Continuing on, along
via Caracciolo, one can see the Fontana del Sebeto which represents allegorically the
ancient and mythic river that flowed around Neapolis. Then crossing
the road, one reaches the Villa Comunale where are found the Fontana di Santa Lucia, the Fontana delle Paparelle and the Fontana
del ratto d'Europa. On via Nazario Sauro,
one can admire the Fontana dell'Immacolatella with the sculpture of
Bernini and Naccherino, and finally one can see the Fontana del Carciofo at Piazza Trieste e Trento. Lunch
break in a characteristic restaurant to tasting typical dishes. This
tour will allow one to visit the most beautiful sites of Naples
through the theme of the fountains, a part of the great artistic
heritage of the italian and neapolitan tradition.
